Our entire Lexwood line is fabricated with 100% premium kiln-dried basswood, the premier natural material for strong, lightweight shutters. No fillers, sawdust, composites, plastic, engineered wood, poplar or unidentified hardwood. The range covers 20 standard stain colors, 20 white colors, and a custom color match service. The finish contains UV inhibitors for long-lasting fade resistance.
Polycore
Polycore shutters offer the traditional look of wood with the advantages of synthetic materials. These aluminum-reinforced shutters are finished with a water-borne paint that will never warp, crack, chip or peel. They are moisture and UV resistant, which makes them well suited to kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms.
Configuration
options
Full height is a single-panel system covering the whole window, the most common configuration and the cleanest look. Café style covers only the lower portion, leaving the upper half open, which suits street-facing rooms where privacy matters at eye level but daylight is still wanted above. Specialty shapes are custom-fabricated for arched tops, angled sills, bay windows and other non-standard openings.
Frames and
tilt systems
Choose how the shutter sits within the window frame, inside mount or outside mount. An exposed tilt bar gives the classic shutter look. A hidden tilt bar lets the louvers be opened and closed by moving a single louver. A split tilt divides the panel so the upper and lower louvers operate independently, for finer control of light and privacy.
